Pan Pacific London unveils Singaporean restaurant, bar & drawing room

Pan Pacific London, the first European outpost of the renowned Singaporean hotel group, has today revealed three of its five innovative new hospitality offerings - Straits Kitchen, Ginger Lily and The Orchid Lounge - which will open in late summer.

Each will incorporate unique elements of the flavour, diversity and elegance of modern Singapore to London’s new landmark tower, One Bishopsgate Plaza, led by multi award-winning Executive Chef Lorraine Sinclair and renowned Executive Pastry Chef Cherish Finden.

Embracing a respectful approach to cooking inspired by heritage recipes, the menu at Straits Kitchen has been carefully crafted by Singaporean Group Executive Chef, Tony Khoo and Pan Pacific London Executive Chef, Lorraine Sinclair and will showcase the melting pot of cuisines represented in multicultural Singapore.

Reflecting the wide range of ingredients and cooking styles brought into Singapore through the Straits of Malacca, key dishes include: Wok Fry Singapore Chilli Mud Crab; Scottish Lobster Nonya Laksa; and Butter-Aged Buccleuch Beef with roasted black garlic, Himalayan salted chips.

The team are working closely with British producers to source quality local produce to minimise their carbon footprint whilst bringing authentic flavours to the table.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, alongside more than 500 bottles of wines, the restaurant will feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking The City, while two private dining rooms enable guests to enjoy a selection of menu options to suit all tastes and occasions.

Bottling the buzz and excitement of Singaporean bar culture for London, Ginger Lily will offer a premium drinks experience, boasting an extensive Champagne list from over 200 houses and the largest list of by-the-glass bubbles in the City of London.

The carefully curated cocktail menu will showcase an eclectic selection of signature classics inspired by Singaporean flavours and culture and contemporary creations, mixed and muddled by Francesco Putignano, formerly of the cocktail bar Seabird at The Hoxton Southwark. Ginger Lily will also be home to over 150 rums, including rare and lesser-known bottles from around the world.

Chef Sinclair will curate an Asian small plates menu to perfectly compliment the drinks offering, along with perfectly paired canape options for guests to enjoy with a Champagne flight pairing.

Evoking the timeless glamour of Afternoon Tea, The Orchid Lounge will offer two uniquely sumptuous and serene Afternoon Teas from award-winning Executive Pastry Chef Cherish Finden.

Cherish will bring her unique twist to two seasonal collections, something new to London. Traditional Delights will showcase quintessentially British sandwiches, scones and patisserie, whilst the Singaporean-inspired Kopi Tiam will celebrate bao, dim sum and choux.

Pan Pacific London’s Afternoon Tea will be accompanied by the finest teas from the Rare Tea Company, and introduced to guests by a dedicated Tea Connoisseur, as well as Champagnes and world-renowned English Sparkling Wines.
