Hotel management company Focus Hotels, has announced it has taken over the management of the Royal Victoria Hotel in Snowdonia on a long term contract which commenced on 1 February 2013.
The three star 106-bedroom property is placed at the foot of Mount Snowdon in Llanberis and will become the fifteenth hotel for Focus. It also boost restaurants, bars and conference facilities.
Also situated in the grounds of the hotel is Dolbadarn Castle, a 13th-century fortification which is surrounded by views of the mountains and the Llanberis Lakes. Originally built by Welsh prince Llywelyn the Great, and later taken by Edward I, Dolbardan Castle is a scheduled monument, and regarded as one of the finest surviving examples of a Welsh round tower.
Focus Hotels offers management and management support services to hotels located in city centres and those with a focus on business and leisure across the UK. It currently has contracts with a number of independent hotels and branded hotels, such as Mercure, Doubletree by Hilton and Ramada.
