Richard Ferrier has been named as the Chief Executive of Heartwood Collection, overseeing the operations of Heartwood Inns and Brasserie Blanc.
Twelve years ago, Richard Ferrier joined Heartwood Collection from Zolfo Cooper (now Alix Partners). Over the years, he has held various roles within the organisation, including Group Strategy Manager, Operations Manager for both the Brasserie Blanc and Heartwood Inns brands, and Operations Director for Brasserie Blanc.
Most recently, he served as the Managing Director for the group, playing a pivotal role in steering Heartwood towards its acquisition by the private equity firm Alchemy Partners in 2022.
Mark Derry, who previously collaborated with Ferrier as the Executive Chairman of Heartwood Collection, will continue to contribute to the business in his new capacity as Non-Executive Chairman.
Ferrier's appointment coincides with Heartwood Collection's ambitious plans to establish 'up to 10 pubs' this year. Additionally, the company is set to launch its first pubs with rooms, starting with the White Horse in Dorking later this month.
Heartwood has successfully acquired four sites in the pubs with rooms sector, a move that will drive the group's goal of operating over 500 rooms by 2027. The company aspires to attain a turnover of £133 million.
