Creed win sole supply contract with Innovate

Creed Foodservice has won a national, multi-million pound contract to exclusively supply award-winning school catering company Innovate Services.
The partnership will see Creed supply frozen, chilled and ambient foods across Innovate’s network of 85 secondary schools, academies and colleges. It will bring a number of benefits, including improved availability and a 60% reduction in food miles due to the location of Creed’s central depots.
Creed said this week that its delivery programme for Innovate also meant that each school site would benefit from less traffic, compared to the previous supplier, which not only simplified the management of onsite deliveries, but reduced both food miles and related CO2 emissions.
Derick Martin, co-founder and chief executive officer of Innovate Services, said: “We’ve selected Creed as our foodservice supplier for a number of reasons. Not only do they offer an excellent range of fresh and frozen produce but the investment they have made into their distribution centres and transportation means we have better availability and delivery options. It improves our green credentials further too, by reducing our food miles by an impressive 60 per cent.
“To add to this, I liked the fact that the company has grown from being a regional supplier to a significant national player, yet retains the personal service and approach you would expect from a specialist supplier. Our business is built on the same values and I believe this makes a good foundation for a solid partnership.”
