Hotel management company, Jupiter Hotels is set to operate five former Akkeron hotels currently owned by Choice Hotels. The agreement with Choice Hotels follows the administration last month of Barinbrook Limited, formally part of Akkeron hotels.
Jupiter Hotels will manage five of the Choice hotels which include the Quality Hotel Bury St Edmunds, Quality Hotel Colchester, Quality Hotel Peterborough and Quality Hotel Kings Lynn, all of which are three star rated and also the four star rated hotel Clarion Collection Hotel Cromwell in Stevenage. The company will now own and manage up to 31 properties across the UK.
Chief Executive of Jupiter Hotels, Shane Harris said, ‘The addition of these five new hotels is a positive move for us, representing an increase of almost 20% in the size of our portfolio and establishing us as a multi brand leader in the midscale hotel segment.'
He added, ‘These management contracts enable us to establish a strong foothold in East Anglia, one of the UK’s fastest growing regional economies after London and the South East.’
