100th Subway store opens at Euro Garages

Subway has opened its 100th outlet at Euro Garages, Holtspur Service Station in Beaconsfield, Buckingshire, creating 20 new jobs in the local area.

Having successfully achieved its end of year target and as part of its future expansion plans, Euro Garages has now set a new target of having 175 Subway stores open at its sites by the end of 2016.

Greg Madigan, Area Development Manager for Subway, UK and Ireland, said, “The Subway brand partnership with Euro Garages is going from strength to strength and the opening of the 100th store is a testament to that. The forecourt and convenience sector is a key area of growth for the Subway brand. The simple operations that are involved in running a Subway franchise and the convenience offer make it a perfect fit for these style locations.

“Euro Garages provides ideal forecourt locations for integrated Subway stores and the partnership allows for a collaborative approach that delivers a flexible business model, real partner benefits, including increased footfall, on-going marketing support, sustainable sales and excellent business growth opportunities.”

As the world’s largest specialist sandwich provider, the Subway brand currently has over 2,000 stores in the UK and Ireland. There are more than 500 Subway stores open in non-traditional locations, such as on forecourt sites or within convenience stores.

Euro Garages has set itself the ambitious target of having 175 Subway stores open at its sites by the end of 2016.
