Scotland’s Vegan Festival returns to Hampden Park

Sodexo is preparing for the return of Scotland’s Vegan Festival this Saturday, 9 March, when Scotland’s National Stadium hosts the event for the second consecutive year.

Held at Hampden Park, the Scotland Vegan Festival aims to educate vegans and those interested in learning more about the subject, while giving them the opportunity to try a wide range of vegan products.

Organised by Vegan Events UK, the event will take place between 10:30am – 4:30pm. A key date in the foodie calendar, delegates will be invited to browse 80+ stalls showcasing vegan treats from worldwide caterers before taking part in cookery demonstrations, listening to inspirational talks, or participating in a series of interactive workshops. With activities for children running throughout the day, it’s the perfect event for families.

Key stalls include vegan hot dogs from Vdogs and skin care from Weesht. Inspired by the event last year. Hampden Park launched its own vegan Conference and Events menu last year, which has been popular with vegan delegates and flexitarians alike.

Craig Younger, General Manager for Sodexo at Hampden Park Stadium, said, “Following the success of 2018, we’re looking forward to welcoming the Scotland Vegan Festival to the stadium for the second time. Last year’s event encouraged us to create a whole new vegan menu and we’re keen to see what new innovations there are this year to further inspire us.

“At Hampden Park we have a range of event spaces suitable for any occasion. With a capacity of around 4,000 people across our suites and private boxes, we’re able to tailor our space for conferences, exhibitions, dinners, drinks receptions and more.”
