The Inn Collection Group announce new CFO

The Inn Collection Group have announced the appointment of Joe Bernhoeft as the group’s new Chief Financial Officer.

A maths graduate from Edinburgh University, Bernhoeft is an experienced finance professional and joins the Newcastle-based pub with rooms operators from the global fashion brand Barbour. Joining as head of finance in 2018, his responsibilities grew to the directorship of the global operations, finance and IT functions.

He brings to the role a wealth of experience gained through positions with Amazon, Proctor & Gamble and Smurfit Kappa and takes over the role from Paul Edwards, who, after heading up the group’s finance function during a period of unprecedented growth, is embarking on early retirement.

Sean Donkin, group CEO at The Inn Collection Group said: ‘We are very excited to welcome Joe as our new CFO in what is a very exciting time for the company.

“He is an incredibly experienced finance professional having worked for some significant blue-chip organisations, including one of the north east’s most recognisable, global brands.

“His skillset means he is well placed to head up our finance department as our estate continues to expand as properties return to trading after significant investment and refurbishments.

“I’d like to this opportunity to wish Joe a long and happy association with The Inn Collection Group and thank Paul for his work and commitment and wish him the very best for his retirement.”

Bernhoeft joins The Inn Collection Group as it continues to welcome properties back to trading following multi-million-pound refurbishments and continues to expand across the north of England and Wales.

October will see its latest North Yorkshire venue, The Ripon Inn emerge from renovation whilst November will see its North Tyneside venue, The Tynemouth Castle Inn reopen to the public.

Two further sites are expected to return early in 2024, with The Ullswater Inn at Glenridding and Offshore, in Lytham St Annes nearing completion.
