ICMI launches new lodges & inns brand

Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI), the hotel management firm behind some of the UK’s finest luxury hotels, including Cromlix, The Atholl and Inverlochy Castle, has launched a new operating company aimed at the three-star hotel and private house market.

ICMI Lodges & Inns will complement ICMI The Collection to target independent hotels offering value for money accommodation. The team is offering a tailored version of the multi-award winning management model involving Inverlochy Hotel’s leadership.

ICMI Lodges & Inns launches with four properties in its fledgling portfolio - The Inch near Fort Augustus; The Factors Inn and Factors Cottage at Inverlochy near Fort William; and the Colonel’s Cottage at Greywalls, 30 minutes-drive from Edinburgh.

Norbert Lieder, managing director of both companies, said, “ICMI has a proven track record of improving both the customer experience and margins at the hotels we manage. Our approach to staff training and focus on growing profitability works across the hotel industry, whatever the price point and position in the market.

“Properties within our ICMI Lodges & Inns portfolio will use our centralised reservations services and benefit from our enhanced buying power.

“We are already talking to a number of owners and hope to make further announcements soon. I’d really like to see either The Collection or Lodges & Inns get a foothold in Aberdeen.”

The 18-bedroom Inch Hotel (pictured) is the first hotel to join ICMI Lodges and Inns. Owned by global inspirational speaker and leadership coach Alan Clayton, the hotel is a popular destination for conferences, events and professional and personal development seminars.

Clayton said, “I’m really excited to welcome ICMI on board to manage The Inch. The team has established itself as the best hotel management operation in the country and, while The Inch was successful under my leadership, I believe it will become even better for the customer, the local economy and the bottom line with ICMI.”

ICMI recently swept the board at the Scottish Hotel of the Year Awards with 16 accolades, including Hotel Management Company of the Year for the fifth year in a row.
