Ocado reveals warmer weather product searches on weekly rise


Ocado has been able to pull the week-on-week data, comparing 4-10 March and 11th-17th March, and have found an increase for spring food and drinks, and related products.

These searches included:
• BBQ products, which increased by 63%
• Picnic items, which have risen by 27%
• Ice lollies, with searches increasing by 11%
• Alcoholic beverages, including Pimms and Whispering Angel, are up by 29% and 34% respectively

Non-food searches include Hay fever,which rose by 143%, and Sunscreen with a 63% uplift.

Laura Harricks, chief customer officer at Ocado Retail, commented, “With some welcome Spring sun bracing the UK this weekend, it looks like Brits are getting ready to bask in the warmer temperatures!
