Care Home Group Acquires Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor

OakNorth Bank provided an £18.2 million loan to facilitate the transaction.

Gold Care Homes has acquired the 382-bedroom Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor in a multimillion-pound deal.

OakNorth Bank extended a £18.2 million loan to support Sukhi Gidar, chief executive and co-founder of Gold Care Homes, in acquiring the hotel.

Founded in Hertfordshire in 1999, the group has expanded to 45 homes caring for over 3,000 residents.

The newly acquired hotel features a fully equipped leisure club, several dining options including Market Kitchen, Pizza de Marco and Brew Bar Lounge, plus 19 meeting and event spaces for up to 400 delegates.

Sukhi Gidar, chief executive and co-founder of Gold Care Homes, commented: “This acquisition represents a significant step in our expansion into the hospitality sector. The hotel’s location, operational potential and strong brand made it an ideal opportunity, and we see clear avenues for enhancing both guest experience and long-term performance.”

Deepesh Thakrar, managing director of debt finance at OakNorth, said: “Sukhi’s proven track record in developing and managing high-quality real estate assets positions him perfectly to maximise the potential of this hotel.”

“With 2025 Heathrow passenger volumes forecast to surpass the airport’s record-breaking 2024 levels, demand for high-quality accommodation in the local market continues to strengthen. The Delta Hotels by Marriott Heathrow Windsor is therefore exceptionally well placed, benefiting from its scale, brand and strategic location.”
