Creams British Luxury to expand tea room franchise to 100 sites within 5 years

Creams British Luxury is planning to expand its Huddersfield-based tea rooms franchise from five to 100 sites over the next five years, and is hoping to create 300 new jobs within the next two years.

The duo behind the brand, brothers Teyeb and Unzar Aleem has also just reopened Creams British Luxury in Leeds city centre, following a refurbishment.

The signature order is the traditional afternoon tea, with the classic mixture of sandwiches, scones, and cakes. The brand's decor features chandeliers and deluxe furniture.

Since the initial launch of the Creams Leeds venue in 2015, the pair are now rolling out a franchise scheme across the UK.

The company has opened four new tea rooms so far this year, which are situated in Bolton, Derby, Canterbury, and Bluewater in Kent. The Bluewater branch opened last week following an investment of £400k.

The brothers are set to be open further sites in Livingston and in two central London locations later in the year.

The Aleem's have appointed former Cash Converters chief executive and franchise expert Mark Lemmon as a consultant to develop a franchise programme that is now being rolled out across the UK, and potentially in India and the Middle East.
