Historic Worthing hotel comes to market

The three-star Beechwood Hall in Worthing, West Sussex, is up for sale through Fleurets.

The building itself was constructed and designed by architect Amon Henry Wildes of Brighton in 1829. Then in 1931, it was converted into a hotel.

Over the generations the venue was altered and improved, until after a long and distinguished period it fell in to disrepair. The property is now Grade II-listed and known locally as Swiss Cottage.

Nick Earee, Divisional Director at Fleurets, who is marketing the premises, commented, “This characterful and substantial property is set with 0.86 acres and consists of a bar and restaurant with 80 covers as well as a separate breakfast/meeting room with a further 24 covers.

'The property possesses eight en-suite bedrooms alongside spacious domestic accommodation, set within mature gardens.”

In April 2010, Fleurets sold the property to experienced operators Paul & Rose Willey. However, due to personal circumstances the property has now ceased trading and is available on the open market.
