UK’s largest pancake house to launch next month in Glasgow

The UK’s largest pancake house, Stack & Still, is set to open in the city centre in October, with Glasgow’s first self dispense bar.

The 200-cover eatery, which will allow children to eat for free, will serve up a unique menu offering over 12 million possible pancake menu combinations.

The pancake menu will use the best locally sourced ingredients and will include savoury signatures such as the Chorizo, Pulled Pork & Whisky Maple Stack, as well as sweet ranges like Salted Caramel & Banana. In addition, customers will be able to enjoy great tasting bottomless coffee that will be roasted on site.

Glasgow’s first self dispense bar will offer a selection of 16 beers, ales, ciders, prosecco and even a selection of cocktails including a choice of local, craft and international serves. The innovative pancake menu will offer 12 million-plus possible sweet and savoury combos that include gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and protein options.

Stack & Still will create over 30 new jobs for the city and is the latest from Glasgow based entrepreneur Paul Reynolds, who has a proven track record in creating groundbreaking global food and drink concepts with the successful launches of The Gin Spa, Gin 71 and Cup.

Reynolds said, “We wanted to create something totally different for Glasgow. A venue that offers tasty food and great drinks but that is also really fun, innovative and inclusive.

“Glasgow’s food and drink scene is extremely vibrant and we are confident that Glaswegians, young and old, will enjoy our fresh pancakes, house syrups and of course the unique self dispense bar'

“We want to become an integral part of the city centre, a place to meet, relax and enjoy time with colleagues, friends and family. We will be open seven days a week from 8am - 1am, and will have nearly 200 covers.'

'The venue will also provide the perfect space for quirky Christmas office parties, launch events and family get togethers.”

This is the first joint project for Reynolds and business partner Graham Swankie who is currently the Operations Director at Gin 71.The duo are paving the way for innovation in the city with the launch of the first self-serve technology and unique mono menu offering. Their aim is to provide an innovative day to night food and drink offering that appeals to both families as well as city centre based millennials and office workers.

Stack & Still is the fourth venture for Reynolds, who has acquired the site from existing landlords and Byron, the burger restaurant chain.
