Medlock FRB to revamp six Toby Carvery sites

Leisure contractor Medlock FRB has been awarded six refurbishment projects by Toby Carvery as part of the dining chain’s modernisation programme.

Owner of the Toby Carvery chain, Mitchells & Butlers has given Medlock numerous fit-out contracts for its Miller & Carter and All Bar One brands.

Medlock has started work at Toby Carvery venues in Barnsley (CGI pictured), Hull and Newcastle upon Tyne. Each site is being revamped with new décor, flooring, screens and partitions, bespoke joinery and wall cladding.

The company is also refurbishing the kitchens, toilets and terraced dining areas, as well as carrying out mechanical and electrical alterations, landscaping and installing new signage.

Further schemes are scheduled to begin later this month in Burton upon Trent, Cannock and York.

At the Toby Carvery Willerby site in Hull, Medlock is also refurbishing 32 en-suite bedrooms at the adjacent Innkeeper’s Lodge hotel.

Steve Taylor, Medlock’s head of business development, said, “Having completed projects for Mitchells & Butlers at numerous locations for its premium steakhouse brand Miller & Carter and All Bar One, it is a great vote of confidence in the quality of our workmanship to be handed contracts with two more of its successful brands.

“We look forward to developing long-standing relationships with the Toby Carvery and Innkeeper’s Lodge teams and are delighted to be playing a part in our client’s considerable investment in its property estate.”
