Edinburgh cafe purchased by restaurant owners

Coletti & Co, a cafe located within Edinburgh's financial and business district, has been sold through Christie & Co to local operators.

Sitting on Lothian Road, a busy thoroughfare which links Princess Street to Edinburgh’s Tollcross, and located opposite the Exchange Plaza office complex, the cafe is well located to cater to those working in nearby businesses and visitors to the bustling city.

The previous owner, Lia Gill had run the business for over four years and decided to sell Coletti & Co in order to retire. Coletti & Co has now been purchased by Malcolm Inness and Chris Reiss, local operators who also own Ting Thai Caravan, a Thai restaurant in Edinburgh’s Old Town, which started as a pop-up.

Tony Spence, Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Edinburgh office who handled the sale, commented, “A great business in a prominent location within Edinburgh city centre, Coletti & Co generated a huge amount of interest from the outset, which continued until we achieved a successful sale.

“Demand within Edinburgh remains high for similar licensed restaurants as the city continues to grow with a high quality food, drink and leisure circuit.”
