Café Rouge, part of Casual Dining Group (CDG), one of the UK’s leading restaurant group, is celebrating its 30th birthday by rolling back its prices over the August bank holiday.
The unique milestone clearly demonstrates the nation’s enduring love for the Parisian Bistro, which was a pioneer of the casual dining market when it launched in 1989, making quality French cooking accessible to the masses.
In celebration of this achievement, and in a nod to its rich heritage, Café Rouge will be reducing its prices over the Bank Holiday weekend for its 1989 inspired menu, enabling customers across the UK to enjoy signature dishes from the last three decades, such as Steak Frites and classic croques, priced as they were back in 1989.
Greg Gibbons, Brand Director, Café Rouge, said, “For any brand to reach this significant milestone would be a proud moment, but given the competitive nature of the UK high street and casual dining market, makes it all that sweeter.
'Café Rouge was a pioneer in the hospitality industry that made French cuisine accessible to the masses – something we’re very passionate about.
'To this day, we have stayed true to our heritage and serve high quality French Bistro-style food to our loyal customer base across the UK – a tradition we very much look forward to continuing.”
The activity forms part of wider 30th birthday celebrations that have been taking place throughout the year. Earlier this year, Café Rouge launched ‘Love Rouge’ a campaign that invited customers to share what they love most about the brand, generating over 25,000 comments from over the years.
In addition, Café Rouge has been a proud supporter of a number of charities since it first opened its doors and in recent years has raised over £350k for the NSPCC and The Prince’s Trust.
