The Salad Project to open second site in Bank next month

On 7 October, beloved East London lunch spot The Salad Project, known for its deliciously nutritious salads and bowls, will open the doors to the second site in Bank, with an all new build-your-own breakfast bar.

The new site will be opening in the heart of Bank and is aimed at providing a much needed nourishing refuel in a busy working day. The initial site has already seen roaring success and has become somewhat of an institution in the area, even winning the 2022 Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year Award.

After experiencing such an enthusiastic reaction in Spitalfields, the new opening is part of The Salad Project’s plans for wider expansion across London, to bring the much loved, feel-good offering to the masses.

The launch of The Salad Project’s new breakfast bar aims to target the return to the workplace - with Bank being one of the key areas in the city experiencing this trend. Indeed, 51% of adults reported eating breakfast out of home in early 2022, and this figure is only set to rise further as businesses increasingly request regular office working.

Having already created a much needed new offering for busy workers looking for an injection of goodness in their day, the breakfast bar aims to revolutionise breakfast on the go as something nourishing to look forward to, rather than an unfortunate necessity in a hectic working lifestyle.

The new site also sees the launch of The Salad Project’s all new breakfast bar, which is built on the same key principles as the salad bar: Healthy, Hearty and Customisable. Guests will be invited to build their own breakfast by selecting from the following customisable options:

> The Base: Start the day right with a selection of oat milk porridge, apple and cinnamon overnight oats or natural yoghurt.
> The Toppings: Browse an extensive selection of tasty toppings including apple, blueberries, pomegranate seeds, strawberries, banana, chopped dates and dried apricots.
||> The Headliners: These showstopping additions add flavour and texture, with a selection of nutty granola, maple walnuts, seasonal compote, toasted hazelnuts and deep roasted peanut butter.
> The Premiums: Finish your breakfast off with a unique twist - choose from honey, cinnamon, cacao nibs, cinnamon toasted buckwheat and seeds or toasted coconut chips.

However, die-hard fans of The Salad Project can rest easy, as guests will still be able to get their hands on fully customisable salads later in the day, along with the classic selection of handcrafted bowls and salads specially curated by chef, nutritionist and certified personal trainer, Clementine Haxby.

These include fan favourites such as Thai Me Up featuring fresh grains and veg balanced perfectly by the zingy flavours from the coriander, spiced chicken thigh and thai dressing.

Co-Founder Florian de Chezelles commented, “After such a positive reception to our Spitalfields site, it’s amazing to be opening a second site already. The response to our first site proves that we have created something truly special, which we’ll be looking to recreate across the city.

'Our all new breakfast offering, which takes the same ethos as our current set-up, is perfect for a busy morning and showcases some truly fantastic flavours”.
