Chelsea Waitrose reopens after revamp with brand new counters

Waitrose Kings Road has just reopened its doors to customers in London's Chelsea area following an extensive refurbishment.

Waitose has improved the features customers already loved, such as the meat and fish counters and our wine department, and have also developed new areas for customers to enjoy while shopping, including a new cheese & deli counter and a dry-aged beef cabinet.

Other services available in the refurbished shop include the mini sushi counter, self-serve hot chicken and a John Lewis section offering a selection of homeware items.

With the return of the counters, shoppers will be able to enjoy lots of counter-only offerings, as well as the discounts that are part of the myWaitrose scheme where customers can enjoy 20% off selected meat and fish counter products.

As a result of the new and improved elements of the shop, 48 new jobs have been created to ensure that Waitrose always offer customers the very best customer service. These roles will span across the counters, checkouts and shop replenishment and management.

Baiju Naik, Branch Manager at Waitrose Kings Road, enthused, “We’re really excited to welcome all our customers in store and for them to see our new look. We have made some fantastic improvements during the renovation, and we’re also thrilled to have some new offerings for customers such as our dry-aged beef cabinet and our cheese & deli counter.

“The refurbishment to our shop further demonstrates our commitment to offering our customers the best service and we’d like to thank customers for their patience while we undertook the work.”
