Dinner Ladies has achieved B Corp certification, recognising the foodservice company’s strong sustainability and community initiatives.
The business recorded an impact score of 102.6, surpassing the 80-point certification threshold.
The certification reinforces Dinner Ladies’ commitment to measuring its impact and setting ambitious targets as it continues to grow a greener, more ethical catering business.
The company uses seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to create menus featuring lower-carbon vegan and vegetarian options, alongside reusable and compostable packaging and zero-emissions delivery via an electric van.
Lily Cai, founder and managing director of Dinner Ladies, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to share we are now officially a B Corp! Attaining such a prestigious certification means the world to us and reflects our defining commitment to people and planet. We’re really proud of the score we achieved, it validates the commitments which have always been core to how we operate. We cannot wait to build on this incredible milestone.”
Among its many sustainability initiatives, Dinner Ladies has launched the Sharing Plates program. In partnership with The Felix Project, the company transforms surplus and donated ingredients into high-quality, nutritious meals for Londoners experiencing homelessness, delivering them locally in collaboration with Streets Kitchen. In 2025, Sharing Plates provided over 1,000 meals.
Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK, added: “We are pleased to have B Corps of all shapes and sizes as part of our community – from start ups to multinationals and across many different industries. Welcoming Dinner Ladies to the B Corp community is hugely exciting. Its commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and will help spread the notion that success in business is as much about people and planet as it is profit.”
