The inaugural National Steak Day has signed up 165 restaurant partners and brands since the initiative was launched

Founder Nathan Evans said, “We are delighted by how well National Steak Day is being received with restaurants and brands across the UK. We have seen an unprecedented level of signups to our website since we launched it and following our media launch earlier this month. We now encourage people to visit our website and download the vouchers of the amazing restaurants taking part.”

The team have signed up some of the best restaurants in London and across the UK and The Republic of Ireland including:

Smith & Wollensky, Mac & Wild, World of Zing, M Restaurants, Carcass LDN, Buen Ayre, The Larderhouse, Terroir Tapas, New Street Grill, Mews of Mayfair, Uncle Beef, Butlers Wharf Chophouse, Goodman Canary Wharf, Paternoster Chop House, Hix Soho, Hix Oyster & Chop House, Hixter, Tramshed, Upstairs at the Grill, Barbecoa, Bar + Block, The Jones Family Project, The Jones Family Kitchen, Café Rouge, Sublime Butter, Toms Kitchen Chelsea, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, Mr White’s English Chophouse, Bodeans BBQ, Roast, Beef & Brew, Macellaio RC and Heliot Steakhouse.

Evans continued, “We want to celebrate quality meat and quality steak. We appreciate that both environmentally and for health reasons we need to be eating less red meat but the message we want to communicate is that if you are going to be eating meat you should be consuming the best of the best.

'National Steak Day was created to showcase the quality and excellence in our industry and to rally together to support steak businesses across London, the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland. With the likes of World Porridge Day and National Doughnut Week in existence, it seems strange that we do not currently have a National Steak Day.”

National Steak Day is bringing together restaurants that serve the very best steak in order to cement this day in the nation’s minds. By creating an alliance with other renowned steak restaurants, they will ensure that lovers of steak receive only the best and most exciting steak available.

To be part of National Steak Day restaurants will have to offer at least one steak on their menu at a 25% discount for the day or a special menu with added value for the customer. Steak businesses will receive their own dedicated page on the National Steak Day website which will showcase their steak offerings. The website will be available all year round with participants being able to add menus and news throughout the year.

Steak lovers can get ready because Thursday 25 April will be the day to sample the best steak. The aim is to create the day to support and celebrate steak and the purveyors who provide such excellent produce and service to customers.
