Pub operator, Amber Taverns is set to invest in a major revamp of the recently purchased Ambience nightclub in Burton, which is situated on the High Street.
The company has now applied to East Staffordshire Borough Council for permission to install a replacement frontage, reinstate windows as well as replace its metal staircase.
The report to the council's planning department explained that Amber Taverns also wants to partly bulldoze a bottle store to make way for outdoor seating.
Operations Director at Amber Taverns, Gary Roberts said, 'The building has undergone several unsympathetic alterations to its frontage over the past 20 years.' He added that the firm's investment in the building's transformation is to grow the business.
