Corbin & King celebrates sales surge but new openings see losses rise

Restaurant and hotel operator, Corbin & King reported a sales surge of almost a quarter to almost £44m last year.

However, operating losses climbed to £2.8m in the year to the end of March 2015, compared to a loss of £1.98m the previous year, mainly due to new openings.

Corbin & King opened Fischer's, a Viennese-style cafe on Marylebone High Street in 2014, and its second hotel, Bellanger in Islington, which opened in December 2015.

The Wolseley (pictured) is the largest restaurant in Corbin & King's collection, accounting for £12.4m in sales last year, a rise of £750k over the year.
