The O2 in London has staged its largest ever dinner on Monday night (11 July) to celebrate the Business in the Community Responsible Business Awards 2016.
The event was attended by over 1,600 guests, from SME owners to the CEOs of global brands. HRH Prince Charles, also president of the charity Business in the Community, kicked of proceedings by welcoming the audience and congratulating them on their achievements and resolute business practices to ensure a more sustainable future.
In total, 15 awards were presented, including the Responsible Business of the Year 2016 award which was won by resource management company Veolia for its work towards creating a low carbon world.
The dinner was catered for by Levy Restaurants UK with a menu which included cumin roasted beetroot with beet mallow, grilled cauliflower, curly endive and balsamic caviar to start; a main of roasted rib of beef, beef cheek with baked potato & chive butter, savoy cabbage, caramelised shallot and baby carrots with a risotto cracker; and a black forest gateau served in a molten chocolate ball with hot chocolate sauce for dessert.
