The Set, the hotel collection behind Hotel Café Royal, London, Conservatorium, Amsterdam and the Lutetia, Paris, has appointed Guillaume Marly as Managing Director for Hotel Café Royal.
Marly joins the company in November as The Set continues to build and develop Hotel Café Royal as a truly iconic, luxury destination in the London market.

In addition to these two most recent positions, Marly’s 20 years’ of experience in the industry includes periods as Hotel Manager at The Ritz and The Connaught and other senior positions at Claridge’s, The Jumeirah Carlton Tower and The Dorchester.
Marly commented, “It is a real privilege to have the opportunity of leading Hotel Café Royal through its next phase of development. It has been a truly iconic property in London for more than 150 years and I am proud to be part of such a magnificent project. Having started my career at Café Royal over 20 years ago, I feel truly passionate about the property.”
Georgi Akirov, Chairman of The Set, said, “Guillaume is the ideal pick to position Hotel Café Royal in line with our vision of creating the modern grand hotels of our time. I look forward to supporting him as he works hand with hand with the rest of our team in further strengthening the hotel’s position in the market.”
