Bartlett Mitchell, one of the UK’s leading independent caterers, has made three significant promotions to support the company’s sustainable business growth.
Angus Brydon (pictured right) and Antony Prentice (left) have both been made divisional managing directors at the business, reporting to Francois Gautreaux (centre), who has been promoted to the role of UK managing director.
The promotions come amid a prolonged period of positive growth for BM as a result of significant investment in people and systems at all levels of the business.
In their new roles, Brydon will be responsible for the City business within the BM portfolio and supporting with business development, retention and development of teams, while Prentice will oversee business in the Home Counties and be responsible for logistics and resource planning as well as project work around IT infrastructure.
Brydon originally joined the business in 2009 as an area manager, working his way through the ranks to the role of operations manager. After a brief spell away from the business working for another caterer, he rejoined and took the role of operations director.
Prentice joined BM as an area business manager in 2011. He too progressed his BM career, becoming operations business manager and operations director in 2015. Previous experience includes Compass Group and Disney.
Gautreaux, who initially joined the business as operations director in 2008, will now be responsible for the operational strategic development of the company. He will focus closely on the company’s growth in the regions, partnerships with social enterprises, and developing people within the business.
Bartlett Mitchell reported an annual turnover of £45.5m for 2018, up 16% year on year and marking eight consecutive years of double-digit growth.
