Apex Hotels has partnered up with local digital companies to bring first-class conferencing and event services to its customers.
Apex City Quay Hotel and Spa, located in Dundee, and Apex City of Bath Hotel are both prominent hotels within the group’s portfolio, which boast impressive C&E facilities, and are now working with two local companies to bring the very best in virtual conferencing services to the hotels.
Not only will the services be available whilst social distancing measures are in place, it will be a permanent upgrade to the C&E offer available at Apex Hotels in the future, well beyond the pandemic.
Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa are working with DLR Media whilst Apex City of Bath Hotel are working alongside Genero Group to provide the new digital business solutions.
Phil Bailey, Group MICE Sales Director, said, “At Apex we are aware that there is now a need for new ways for our clients to be able to continue to hold conferences, business meetings, and networking events.
“Our aim is to provide that solution whilst working with local businesses who will be on-hand to fit and set up all the equipment needed for each meeting – and our clients will be able to get their knowledge and expertise first-hand from each company.”
Apex City of Bath hotel is the city’s largest purpose-built conference and events facility and can hold up to 400 people theatre style in the Lansdown suite with nine other rooms available to suit every need.
Genero Group will be able to set up meetings online, allowing people to participate from the comfort of their office or home when they are unable to attend in person.
Bailey continued, “This allows us to accept bookings for conferences of 400+ delegates which normally we wouldn’t be able to accommodate.
“This is not a replacement of our current conference offering, as always we are working on ways in which we can enhance our services and give our clients more options.”
The technology, which will soon be available to businesses, will allow them to not only hold basic conferences, but also allow users to network, break-out into teams, and take part in live tours. What’s more, it can all be recorded for those who may not be able to attend in real time.
He added, “The future of C&E is a hot topic in the industry right now and we are working on how we can offer these services across our portfolio of hotels and are currently in talks with technology companies in London and Edinburgh too to make this a reality.
