The Italian restaurant in London's Kensington, Como Garden is entering a partnership with Almasicily, an Italian company, bringing real Sicilian products to UK homes.
Como Garden, known for its handmade pasta and antipasti, has expanded their delivery offering with a range of Almasicily delicatessen products now available to purchase through Deliveroo, and take-away from the restaurant.
Having cemented themselves in London for using only the best Italian produce for its dishes, Como Garden is delving deeper into the Italian food landscape, offering a range of items from the iconic Sicilian region, known the world over for its stunning food.
Almasiciliy, founded in 2015 by Giacinto Sanflippo, supports local Sicilian producers, applying the principles of organic and sustainable agriculture, giving value to slow production methods – crucial to keep both nutritional properties and flavours intact. Como Garden is so far the only place in London selling these unique and authentic Sicilan products.
Londoners can stock up on all kinds of Italian products, like Sicilian Caserecce Pasta (made of native wheat qualities, which grow under the Sicilian sun without intensive methods and fertilisers).
Also available is Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil (cold pressed and obtained from DOP certified organic olives blend (Biancolilla and Bocellara del Belice varieties), and Sicilian Orange Marmalade (containing only oranges, sugar and lemon only, and processed with artisanal care according to a family recipe).
There's Organic Sicilian Walnuts (grown with loving care in the areas of Agrigento and Caltanissetta by certified and reliable farmers), and Cherry Tomato Sauce, using the sweetest and richest Sicilian cherry tomatoes, which mature to perfection through receiving sunlight without interruption for many weeks, and with a ph soil that is slightly acidic).
Championing the finest Italian products and getting them in the hands of locked-down Londoners, Como Garden and Almasicily’s partnership looks set to refresh the pantries of Italian enthusiasts across the capital. The range is available on Deliveroo and take-away in Como Garden.
