Deliveroo has announced the latest UK-wide expansion of its Editions kitchens with the opening of new sites across London - in Acton, Brent and Dulwich.
The new delivery-only kitchens form part of Deliveroo’s plan to grow its Editions service and roll out more sites across the country, and follows the successful opening of sites in London and Bristol earlier this year.
After pioneering the creation of delivery-only kitchens in 2016, Deliveroo now has Editions sites across the UK, including Manchester, Leeds and Brighton.
Editions kitchens are playing a vital role in helping restaurants recover from the pandemic by enabling them to reach new customers, without having to pay for and set up a physical premises.
The delivery-only kitchens also create additional job opportunities for chefs and catering staff, with the new UK openings creating more than 1,000 jobs this year.
The new sites in Acton, Brent Cross and Dulwich will each host a range of independent and family-favourite restaurants, bringing a wide variety of cuisine choices, all exclusively on Deliveroo and delivered in under 30 minutes.
Restaurant partners include:
• Five Guys
• Dishoom
• Shake Shack
• Pho
• Rosa’s Thai
• Tao Tao Ju
• Bleecker
• Chilango
• Tortilla
• Pasta Evangelists
Deliveroo’s expansion of its delivery-only kitchens sits alongside the recent launch of ‘Hop’ - the company’s rapid grocery service. In a partnership with Morrisons, customers are able to have grocery items delivered in as little as 10 minutes.
This new service complements Deliveroo’s existing and fast-growing on-demand grocery offer, which delivers from over 4,600 partner grocery stores in the UK.
The company’s ambitious plans to expand its Editions service and continue to invest in leading innovation in the food delivery sector follow a period of strong growth, with UK&I total orders increasing by 87% in the first 9 months of 2021, compared to the same period last year.
In a sign of the continued customer demand for delivery, Deliveroo now serves every UK town with a population of over 50,000.
Will Shu, the CEO and Founder of Deliveroo, said, “We are really excited to expand our Editions kitchens and bring amazing cuisines to even more consumers across the country.
