Healhy fast casual chain, Leon is launching the first iteration of its app, ‘Leon Club’, going live 16 February and offering free fries to members.
The app is being launched following learnings gained from their web-based click + collect platform last year. Leon saw its web Smart Order customer frequency increase to a level that guests were asking for a mobile app to make it easier to use more often.
They then surveyed their newsletter subscribers and found that customers responded to say they wanted an app that put digital loyalty at its core.
In response to this, the company developed the Leon Club app which allows users to pre-order restaurant food, easily reorder their favourite dishes and earn points along the way. For every £1 spent, users will receive 100 points.
After spending £30 (the equivalent of three average lunch orders), customers will be able to redeem their 3,000 points against anything on the menu for free.
As users journey to reach 3,000 points, they will receive a number of mini milestones along the way in the way of treats and freebies. This includes the ‘FREEFRIES’ promotion Leon is offering from 21st February.
A major out of home campaign is going live across London which will advertise the app and the promotion code ‘FREEFRIES’ which is redeemable against Leon favourite, Baked Waffle Fries.
The app offers a quick and easy way to peruse the brand's menu of food that tastes, does you good, is affordable and kind to the planet and a quick mechanism for smart ordering across Leon locations.
It combines click + collect functionality with a fun rewards system which will consistently offer customers complimentary treats. After this initial launch, Leon will be quickly adding more features in response to guest feedback.
