McDonald’s UK&I has been awarded the ‘Fast Payer Award’ by Good Business Pays, a campaign launched in 2021 to encourage the UK's largest companies to fast track payments to small suppliers.
The award is given to companies that have paid at least 95 percent of their invoices on time, and within 30 days or less, consistently over the last 12 months. McDonald’s has always worked to pay suppliers promptly, and has maintained this practice for many years.
Beth Hart (pictured), VP of Supply Chain and Brand Trust for McDonald’s UK & Ireland, said, “Our suppliers are an essential and valued part of our business as they help us to serve great food to our customers in restaurants across the UK.
'We have always been committed to paying our suppliers – big and small – promptly and so it’s great to have been recognised by Good Business Pays with this award. It’s the responsibility of all big businesses to play their part in supporting the small businesses that are the backbone of the UK economy.”
Terry Corby, Chair of the Good Business Pays campaign, commented, “I’m delighted to be awarding McDonald’s UK&I with the Good Business Pays Fast Payer Award, recognising the big businesses that are supporting their small suppliers by making responsible payment practises a business priority.”
