Ikea has withdrawn its meatballs from the menu at 14 stores across Europe after tests in the Czech Republic found traces of horse meat in a batch made in Sweden. These were then being sold across stores including the UK, France and Portugal.
The meatballs, which are high sellers for visitors to the furniture store, were labeled as beef or pork and are made by Sweden's Familjen Dafgard. The company said it was investigating the situation and would receive further test results in coming days.
