David Scott, Morrisons’ Head of Property, has stepped down after nearly eight years with the retailer.
The news follows Morrisons’ announcement that it is reviewing the resourcing of its property team at the Bradford head office.
A Morrisons spokesman said: “We can confirm David Scott has left the business, he made a valuable contribution to Morrisons over the last eight years, and we wish him all the best.
“We’re currently reviewing options for the future resourcing of our property team.”
Scott commented in a LinkedIn post: “During my time at Morrisons, I’ve worked on many transformational projects, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together as a team.
“I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a dynamic, customer-focused business.”
The high street retailer has continued to expand its physical store network, launching 42 new Morrisons Daily outlets in the second quarter, bringing the UK total to over 1,700.
In June, Morrisons reshuffled its C-suite team by appointing Claire Farrant, former BP Vice President for Mobility and Convenience Europe, as group marketing director.
Meanwhile, the company completed a credit restructuring initiative, reducing its debt by £261 million and extending the payment dates and terms on existing loans.
It is also offering higher volume rebates and reduced wholesale prices to its independent retailers.
