Grind set to open its first standalone travel café in London

Grind is set to open a new café opposite Platform 5 at Waterloo station, one of the UK’s busiest commuter hubs.

The new café opens from today (Monday 15 December) and operates daily from 7am to 10pm.

The launch marks the firm’s first standalone travel café and includes seating for 35 people.

The move is part of the brand’s plan to expand beyond craft coffee.

David Abrahamovitch, CEO and founder of Grind, said: “Bringing Grind to one of the UK’s busiest stations marks a major milestone for us—we can’t wait to bring our craft coffee to thousands of commuters at Waterloo.

“We’re offering travellers a completely new experience: a place where they can grab a great coffee on the go, sit down for brunch, or unwind with cocktails after a long day.”

The café will open in partnership with One Retail, marking an expansion of the brand’s travel retail footprint beyond British Airways and Dubai International Airport.

To mark the launch, Grind will sell its signature espresso martini for £5 throughout December.

The brand operates 15 cafés, restaurants, cocktail bars and coffee trucks as part of its strategy to bring its craft coffee to a wider global audience.
