Amber Taverns plans estate of 100 pubs by end of 2014


Wet-led pub operator, Amber Taverns has said that after a 6% rise in like-for-like for sales over the 12-day festive period, the group now plans to grow to 100 sites by the end of 2014.

With a current portfolio of 93 pubs, Amber operates the majority of its pubs in Northern England, the Midlands and North Wales. It currently has two sites under refurbishment in Chesterfield and Hull, as well as four sites which are due to be refurbished soon in Sedgley, York, Carlisle and Ferryhill near Durham.

Further to this, the group is also planning to invest £1m in capex on beer gardens at six current sites. Ambers estate specialises in running wet-led pubs.
