Hotel operator, Base2Stay, has opened its second 'luxury budget' £14m property in Liverpool. The historic hotel dates from around the 1850's and offers 106-bedrooms. Sister hotel, Base2Stay Kensington has achieved pre-tax losses of £628,000 for the 2009 calendar year, in comparison with a £6.4m loss the year before. The group plans to open a third Base2Stay, in London's Soho.
