AF Blakemore has reported record sales of over £39m for the year, resulting from the launch of four new trading bases across the country.
The group consists of nine divisions spanning across the retail, wholesale, food service, logistics and shop fitting sectors.
AF Blakemore began life in 1917 as a counter-service grocery store, and has grown into a company that now employs more than 7,700 people with a turnover of £1.3bn.
The firm is the largest SPAR owner with 295 stores and it serves 950 in total across England and Wales. It is also the largest member of the Landmark Wholesale group and a significant supplier to the independent grocery sector across the UK.
