Suntory plans multimillion pound investment in UK factory

Japanese drinks giant, Suntory has announced plans for a multimillion pound infrastructure investment in its Lucozade and Ribena factory in Coleford, Gloucestershire, which employs around 700 people.

Suntory, which is the world's 3rd largest soft drinks company, acquired the Lucozade and Ribena brands last year for £1.35bn, forming Lucozade Ribena Suntory Limited.

Suntory was established in 1899 and is one of the oldest companies in the distribution of alcoholic beverages in Japan, and makes both best-selling, award-winning Japanese whisky.

The world's best-selling whisky, Jim Beam, is owned by Suntory as well as Maker's Mark, Knob Creek and Basil Hayden.
