Work to start on multi-million pound Newcastle care home


Care home provider, Belong has unveiled multi-million pound plans to transform a Grade II-listed building in Newcastle into a 74-bedroom care home with 28 apartments.

One hundred and fifty new jobs will be created at the new care home which will also include a cafe, hair salon and heritage gallery.

Belong say work will start ‘imminently’ on the former Maxims nightclub, with the first residents expected to move in late next year or in early 2017.

Prime (UK) Developments have been appointed to construct on the site and will retain the historic features, such as the front of the building.

Belong have over 20 experience as a care operator and currently operates 6 sites in the Cheshire area
