Warwick Conferences to invest £5.3m in new meeting venue

Warwick Conferences has unveiled plans to invest £5.3m in opening a fourth dedicated meeting venue on the University of Warwick campus in Coventry and Warwickshire

The new venue – which will open in September 2016 – will offer 650 square metres of contemporary and highly flexible event space from a brand new stand alone facility adjacent to two of Warwick Conferences’ existing training and conference venues..

With a single flat-floor space capacity of 350 seated, expansive ceiling height and reinforced flooring, the venue offers bookers a completely new option in Warwickshire and the West Midlands, and extends Warwick Conferences’ capability significantly.

Richard Harrison, head of conference centres at Warwick Conferences commented, “This is an important investment for both Warwick Conferences and the Midlands region as a whole. Demand for high capacity, high quality, genuinely flexible event space is rising and there are few venues that can meet all these requirements in Central England currently - and even fewer that can do so without compromise.

“As a completely new development, our new venue will offer an uncompromised, contemporary and striking space that will give clients a complete blank canvas for their event. But of course the space itself is only one part of the experience.

'Bookers and their delegates will also benefit from the collective expertise of Warwick Conferences’ award winning team, a completely new approach to event catering with exciting new menus, and the prestige of being a part of a globally respected university.”

The new venue is available on a single customer only basis, offering genuine exclusivity. On-site finishing kitchens will ensure a fully inclusive catering capability with guests able to dine to a wide-variety of menus on site, while integrated AV systems and fast and free wi-fi connectivity will ensure full compliance with customers’ technology requirements.

Access to Warwick Conferences’ 479 hotel-style bedrooms in the adjacent Scarman and Radcliffe training and conference centres, free and ample on-site parking, and a central location with enviable transport connections completes the proposition.
