Domino’s Pizza UK is planning to recruit 5,000 new employees for new outlets ahead of major international sporting events next year including the UEFA Euro Football Championships and the Rio Olympics.
The takeaway giant is also on target to open more than 50 sites by the end of this year, and has just reached 900 sites with the opening of a new store in Ashford, Surrey.
The company's online orders now represent 77% of sales with nearly 50% of orders made via its app.
Domino's has seen strong growth this year with like-for-like sales up by over 14% in the UK and Ireland in the third quarter.
Sports events boosted sales and the firm expects to sell seven million pizzas during the the UEFA Euro Football Championships and the Rio Olympics.
