Former McDonalds senior director becomes Leon MD

The former senior director of McDonald’s UK, John Upton, had become the managing director of Leon, the 33-strong healthy QSR chain.

Upton left MacDonald's last October after 2 years with the fast food giant, where he led various UK national departments groups, including the highly regarded Training and Education programmes, Customer Services & People Analytics.

Leon operates outlets mainly across London but the group also has sites in Birmingham, East Midlands. There are new venues set to open in Moorgate and Eastcastle Street.

Bringing healthy fast food to the masses, Leon's menu is inspired by the flavours, variety and natural healthiness of Mediterranean cooking.
