Charlton House retains £3m contract with National Assembly for Wales

Charlton House, one of the UK’s leading names in workplace dining and part of the CH&Co Group, has successfully retained the contract to provide full catering and hospitality services to the National Assembly for Wales for the third consecutive term.

The five-year deal, worth in excess of £3m, will see Charlton House continue to provide catering and hospitality services to Assembly Members, support staff and the visiting general public across the National Assembly for Wales estate in Cardiff Bay.

Charlton House’s innovative, quality food and impeccable service will be experienced throughout the restaurant, shop, public café, members’ tea rooms and events at the Senedd, the home of the Assembly’s debating chamber and committee rooms, and the historic Pierhead visitor, events and conference venue.

Following a competitive tender process, Charlton House retained the business on the basis of its tender submission. This will build on its previous excellent service delivery and reputation for creating exciting and fresh solutions.

Working closely in partnership with the National Assembly for Wales, Charlton House proved that it understands its specific catering and hospitality needs, tailoring its offer accordingly, and shares important values, including a commitment to Welsh suppliers.

Paul Honey, managing director at Charlton House, said, “We’re thrilled to be the chosen catering partner for the National Assembly for Wales for the third consecutive five-year term.

'This is real testament to the team’s relationship with the client and its expertise and commitment to understand and mirror its culture and values within the catering and hospitality offer.

'For ten years, we’ve delivered innovative and quality food and service across the Assembly estate and we look forward to building on this and bringing even more exciting and appealing initiatives to the heart of Welsh democracy.”
