Carluccio’s appoints new chairman


Carluccio’s the 119-strong international Italian restaurant group, owned by Jagtiani Foundation, the Family office of the owners of Landmark group, has appointed Carl Leaver as its new Non-Executive Chairman. He replaces Simon Kossoff, who stepped down Chairman in July.

Leaver is a highly experienced executive with a wealth of leisure, financial and retail experience. He is currently Group CEO of Gala Coral where he has led the turnaround of the business, culminating in an exit for the company’s private equity shareholders through the proposed merger with Ladbrokes plc. Prior to that he was Director of International, Home and E-Commerce at Marks & Spencer and before that CEO of De Vere Group PLC.

Carluccio’s CEO Neil Wickers commented, “With his international, leisure and retail background, I know Carl will be a fantastic addition to the team. I look forward to working closely with him as we take the business through its next stage of growth, both in the UK and overseas.”
