Travelodge to open seven Greater Manchester hotels

Travelodge is to invest £35m in seven new hotels across Greater Manchester, creating 200 jobs, and kicking off with openings in Sale and Salford.

The Stockport hotel on Heaton Lane will boast 86-rooms and occupy part of Regent House in the town centre. It will also include a Bar Café.

The Sale hotel will be created by converting an existing four story 1980s office building into a 67-room hotel with a Bar Café and 75 on-site car park.

Planning applications have been submitted, with both hotels expected to open towards the end of 2016.

The other planned hotels will include two in Manchester city centre, Cheadle, Oldham, Rochdale, Wigan and Worsley.
