Greene King licensees have Christmas all wrapped up

Greene King Pub Partners has unveiled its biggest ever support package for licensees to provide them with everything they need to deliver the best possible Christmas.

Wrapping up the coordinated support into an easy-to-use toolkit means Greene King licensees have all the advice and information they require in one place.

For more than 125 pubs using the Greene King Food Service, a range of Christmas menus has been devised with a choice of price bands, including a buffet option, all with full allergen information. To support the food services, a new profit margin calculation tool has been introduced to the licensees' intranet portal.

Licensees have been given advice on how to promote their pubs digitally so that they have a social media plan for the festive season to maximise bookings with free digital assets as well as low-cost marketing support.

There is also a collection of training hints and tips including suggesting licensees appoint a 'Christmas Champion' from among their staff within their pub to lead on Christmas activity.

Greene King licensees will be able to take advantage of a number of flash sales, on a limited stock basis, and other bumper drinks promotions, as well as free cask ale support and a selection of Christmas cocktail recipes with supporting point of sale and menus.

The toolkit even includes a Christmas countdown of key dates to consider ranging from when to put those festive tunes on the juke box to when to begin serving mulled wine for its distinctive yuletide aroma.

Clive Chesser, Managing Director of Greene King Pub Partners, said, 'We have created a one-stop shop for our licensees with all they need to deliver a profitable Christmas in one place.

'We all have a responsibility to maximise trading opportunities and there is no better example of this than Christmas. One of our t0olkit's key messages is the earlier you start the preparations, the more likely you are to reap the rewards.

'Families have very high expectations for their personal Christmas celebrations, and businesses need to exceed these by getting everything right during this exceptionally busy period.'
