Wilson Vale scoops EEF catering deal


EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, has appointed Wilson Vale to manage its catering services across two sites in Aston, Birmingham.

Under a one-year contract worth £235K in annual turnover, the first part of the contract started on 5 September, with Wilson Vale feeding approximately 150 apprentices and 100 training delegates and staff each day at the organisation’s Technology Training Centre at Nexus Point in Aston.

Services include a breakfast, lunch and a grab & go service for the apprentices, as well as a restaurant service for training delegates. The 50,000 sq. ft. facility provides over 50 technical training courses on the use of 120 machines and equipment commonly found in manufacturing and engineering environments.

The second site – EEF’s new Technology Hub in Aston – opened in November 2016, with Wilson Vale now servicing a dedicated conferencing suite and three meeting rooms within the new hub, as well as providing additional breakfast and lunch services to the apprentices.
