London restaurant to reopen with new name following £2.5m refurb

Following a £2.5m refurbishment and name change, London restaurant Matsuri, based on Bury Street, is set to reopen.

Located in St James's, Matsuri specialised in sushi and teppan-yaki since 1993. The 128-cover restaurant will re-open this month as Onodera after a six month refurbishment and will offer traditional Japanese cuisine.

Onodera will open for soft launch 17-18 and 20-21 March, officially opening on 23 March.

The Onodera group also has restaurants in Ginza, Shanghai, Hawaii, Los Angeles, New York and Paris.
