Jamie's Italian Sees Profits Climb By 181% In 2010


Jamie Oliver’s high street restaurant chain Jamies Italian has seen profits fly by 181% in 2010 as the company continued to expand its brand across Britain.

Jamie's Italian, which was launched in 2008, reported pre-tax profits of £4.65m in the 12 months to 2 January 2011, with turnover up 145% to £47.62m.

The company opened 10 new restaurants during the year, including sites in Glasgow, Leeds and London’s Covent Garden, as well as having two new franchised restaurants in Dubai and Sydney. Another three have since opened in the first half of 2011, with a further eight also set to open, bringing the brands portfolio to 25 outlets by the end of the year.
