Worlds best bar to pop up in London's Claridges

The team behind acclaimed New York bar The Dead Rabbit is set to take over London's Claridge’s bar in August for one week only.

The Dead Rabbit was founded by Irishmen Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry and was named the World’s Best Bar in 2016.

The team will recreate the bar at the Mayfair hotel between 15th and 22nd August and transform the bar into ‘the parlor’, with pub-style bar stools and banquettes and rag time piano playing.

McGarry said, “We both used to work at The Merchants hotel in Belfast, so hotel life is in our blood. We’re looking forward to taking up residence in London and bringing some Dead Rabbit magic to such a prestigious address as Claridge’s.”

Director of bars at Claridge’s, Denis Broci said, “We are honoured to be welcoming Sean and Jack and the Dead Rabbit team for their first pop-up in London.'

'We are sure they will create their own distinct level of excitement and New York edginess not often seen here in Mayfair.'
